Great fly-fishing expected throughout October!

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

As you may or may not know, the fishing in September is usually very good on all rivers throughout East Idaho; including the Henry’s Fork, South Fork, and Teton Rivers. This season was a little bit late, due to the amount of snow and rain we got this winter and spring. We are expecting the fishing to continue to be amazing until late October. September in October!

We are extending our fishing season until October 31st. If you’ve been wanting to experience the amazing fall fishing experience on our blue ribbon trout streams, now is the time! We are filling up quick, but, still have some open availability in October.

South Fork Fly Fishing Update

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

Water flows at Irwin are at 13,600. There is dry fly fishing in the soft spots and on the gravel banks. The water is pretty dirty but as it clears fishing should explode! The best technique would be a Golden Stone with a nymph below, a Yellow Sally, or a streamer. Fish on!

Guided Fishing Trip in Idaho. Fly Fishing on the Henry’s Fork.

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

If you already have accommodations, you can always give us a call to enjoy a day or two of fly fishing with one of Three Rivers Ranch’s Orvis Endorsed fly fishing guides.

We have three locations in East Idaho where you can meet your guide in Driggs, Island Park, or Warm River. We are licensed to fish on more water than any other outfitter in the area. The most popular rivers to fish are The Henry’s Fork of the Snake, South Fork of the Snake, Teton River, and the rivers of Yellowstone National Park & Montana. A day trip costs around $500 per boat and includes a gourmet streamside lunch.

Call now or click “contact us” to make a reservation today! Let’s go fishing!

Eastern Idaho Snow Pack Update

Saturday, February 5th, 2011

We’ve had an excellent snow year so far in eastern Idaho.  The Henry’s Fork basin is at 110% of average snow pack with snow depths of 3 1/2-5 feet in the Island Park area and snow falling as I write this.  The South Fork drainage is at 112% of average snow pack with 3 1/2 feet of snow on Pine Creek Pass.  Island Park and Palisade Reservoir are in good shape and should fill easily when all this snow melts.  If you’ve never been here in winter check out these web cams:
(Teton Valley near Driggs)
(Osbourne Bridge / Railroad Ranch)

So we shouldn’t have any shortages in reservoir controlled rivers and the smaller streams like Fall River and the Teton should have plenty of water to get through the hot weather of summer.  This should translate to good fishing conditions all summer.

I’m having great skiing but I’m really looking forward to getting out on the water again…
