Flows are high and fishing has been fair. Box Canyon is fishing well on nymphs and streamers. On the Railroad Ranch/Last Chance section there are still a few Pale Morning Duns and Caddis and some days have produced good numbers of rising fish. The Upper Henry's Fork (Warm River to Ashton) has been fishing good with dry flies all day, Caddis in the morning and Stonefly patterns in the afternoon. Nymphs have been good any time. The water level on the Lower Henry's Fork (Ashton to St. Anthony) is high and the fish are not feeding on the surface. Golden Stone dries can produce a few good fish. This section will fish better when flows are reduced in September.
There are excellent numbers of larger fish in the river again this year and flows are still high but fishing has been very good. Mayfly hatches, including Epeorus and Pale Morning Duns, have produced rising fish on gravel bars all day. There are still a lot of Golden Stones around and the fish are really looking for them. We've also seen a lot of Grasshoppers and fish are starting to look for them as well.
The Teton is very low and very warm. We won't be fishing it until increased flows and lower air temps bring water temps down.
Fall River, Warm River and Robinson Creek are fishing well with Golden Stone dries, caddis, and crane flies. Nymphs and streamers are also worth a try. Fishing should remain good for the duration of the summer.
